It has been an exciting few weeks for GravityLight as we’ve had some major milestones as the tour makes it’s way to the coast.
Here’s a quick update on everything that’s been going on…
ASSEMBLY BEGINS
Our shipment arrived in Mombasa, Kenya and has reached the assembly team in Ruiru, just outside Nairobi.
We are assembling at the Burn, where they manufacture clean cookstoves. The team has been trained up by Jim and assembly is in full swing, completing about 140 GravityLights each day – and the pace is picking up.
GRAVITYLIGHT NOW ON SALE
GravityLights are now available to buy in Kenya. We are selling these on the roadshow as well as establishing a sales network across the country to follow up on all the demand generated by the GravityLight tour.
Meet Purity, from Meru, who is our first Kenyan customer:
We’ve had the opportunity to meet several people already using their GravityLights and it has been brilliant to see the immediate benefits already being generated and hear their feedback.
In the videos below you can hear from Lilian in Machakos who is using her GravityLight to light up her grocery store instead of kerosene, and from Dickson the importance of the savings – both money and time – for his family.
We’ve also had a lot of interest from people worldwide on how they can buy a GravityLight. If you’re based in North America, Europe, Australia or New Zealand, check out Deciwatt.global for your nearest retailer.
